During peak times, line 1 operates at 10 minute intervals, line 2 at 20 minute intervals and line 3 Mo-Fr at 5 minute intervals (or 7½ minute intervals during holidays), and on weekends at 10 minute intervals. During off peak times, only lines 1 and 3 have services, in each case at 30 minute intervals. In the evenings, only line 3 operates, on a timetable that takes 70 minutes for a return trip.

For major events in the Hofwiesenpark, such as the Hofwiesenparkfest, there is a supplementary line 5 (Lusan-Brüte – Heinrichstraße – Untermhaus), which operates 15 minutes either side of the services on lines 1 and 3, and therefore reduces to only 15 minutes the off peak service intervals between Lusan, the most heavily populated part of Gera, and Untermhaus.
